From May 23, 2017 to September 30, 2017, the Simmons community is invited to learn about the Workday Financials application in the following ways:

  1. In-person presentations scheduled from May 23, 2017 to September 30, 2017 (sign up is required)

In-person Presentations


Please click here to see a schedule of in person training sessions.  The training sessions are broken down into three categories:

Category 1: Purchase orders

  • Create a requisition (create purchase order)
  • Create change orders (change purchase order)
  • Request new supplier (used for when a supplier or vendor is not set up for payment in the system)

Category 2: Invoices

  • Create supplier invoice with a purchase order (request payment for an invoice that is associated with a purchase order)
  • Create supplier invoice without a purchase order (request payment for an invoice that is not associated with a purchase order)

Category 3: Expense reports

  • Create spend authorizations (pre-approval of travel as needed in accordance with the policy in your department)
  • Create an expense report
To sign up for a training session, send an email to workdaytraining@simmons.edu with your name and the date and time of the training session you would like to attend. A meeting invite should be sent to you within 1 business day.


Drop-in Sessions

The Finance team will be holding drop-in hours from July 5, 2017 to September 30, 2017, where you will receive answers to your specific questions. At the Drop-in sessions, you will be able to log into the system and receive personalized assistance in processing your transaction. Please click here to see a schedule of drop-in hours. There is no need to sign up for a drop-in session, just go to L-225 during the date and time noted on the schedule.
